Hong Kong-born soprano Nadia Wong graduated from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.  At the age of 22, Nadia made her professional début as the soprano solo in Mahler’s Symphony No. 2("Resurrection"), which was followed by her European début as Marcellina in Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro in Italy. Nadia has recently appeared as the lead singer in the world premiere production of Tan Dun’s Immersive Opera “Purity . Transcendence” in Hong Kong.  

 

Highlights from season 2025/2026 include Nadia’s role début as the title role of Cio-Cio-San in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, as Third lady in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte and the soprano solo in Verdi’s Libera me(Requiem mass).  

In recent seasons Nadia has also débuted as Gertrud in Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel, as Sally in Barber’s A Hand of Bridge, as Suor Osmina in Puccini’s Suor Angelica, as Queen Jezebel in the Hong Kong premiere semi staged version of Mendelssohn's Elijah and Fiordiligi in Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte.  

 

Her other operatic and musical roles include Frasquita in Bizet’s Carmen, Alisa in Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor, Donna Elvira in Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Le cercatrici in Puccini’s Suor Angelica, Merlina in Cimarosa’s L’ impresario in angustie and as Mother in the world premiere musical production of The Happy Prince and The Other Wiseman by David Quah and Tony Lam. Her recent highlights on the concert stage include Wagner’s Wesendonck Lieder and Laudate dominum from Mozart’s Vesperae solennes de confessore. She has also worked with conductors such as Brian Schembri, Elio Orciuolo, Pietro Mianiti, Maurizio Colasanti, Perry So, Vivian Ip, Jeff Leung, Stephen Lam and Apollo Wong.
